You need to be able to imagine where you want to be in life and take control. Your imagination is the place where your dreams can wonder into new worlds. Having an imagination is the key to creativity.

You need to be able to think about your plan and if you do not have a plan you have to make one right now. A plan will keep you focused on your goals. Having a weak plan is better than having no plan at all. So fire up Notepad, Word or get a paper or pen and write down sentences, words, ideas, drawings, anything. If you want to, print it out and put it on your wall so you can reflect over what you have written down.

Many will try to crush your dreams because they do not like someone to not play it safe and do what everyone else does. Try to build a team of like minded individuals so you can brainstorm together and reach a goal that the team focuses on.

The future is important, never stop thinking about it. Our world today is constantly changing from day to day and ides you once had may need to be revised or adjusted for future changes in the world.

Your business need to be fluid not rigid, we live in a dynamic chaos driven world so you need to be flexible and ready for anything.

The hardest part will be all the setbacks on your road to success, there will be days filled with headaches and stress. Off course you will want to give up and never look back. But you need to be focus on your goals and stay strong. This is all part of starting your own business.

But what if your goal is for example to find the ultimate job? It is easy to realize that it is not possible for you to get the job that you are dreaming about because you may not have the right background or experience. This may be true and can be a sign pointing to things you should do in order to get the job you want to get.

Your goal is to get your dream job. By getting experience in that area for example by working for free to get experience your chances of getting the job will increase. The more involved in the area you get the more likely you will secure the contract of your dream job in the future. By working on different things that all point to the area you want to have a career in your chances of succeeding in that area will improve.

But do not feel that all your previous jobs have not helped you to get your dream job. I am sure that in each of your previous jobs there have been some aspects that will come in handy even in your dream job.

Do not expect to get the job just because you got to come for an interview instead go home and apply for more jobs and use the experience you got from the interview on future interviews.

The first phase of brainstorming for ideas is to come up with the perfect scenario. For example if your main objective is to create a successful website, sketch down notes of your ultimate website, how big it is, how many visitors it get and how it got there. The sky is the limit and you can be creative. Did you run a marketing campaign in the local newspaper? Maybe hired a hot air balloon with your sites name on it? It is important that you are not negative towards ideas in this step. Make a note about every idea you get.

The second phase of brainstorming

In the second phase you make a quick judgment on how relevant every idea is. Take a look at every note you made and decide if it is relevant or not. For example, if your site is small and only gathers to persons with special interests, the relevance of hiring a hot air balloon is slim since most people interested in your site will probably not see it. But look at it this way, say there is a convention where your site will be represented. Why not give away balloons to the children with your sites logo there? Do you get the connection here, that an unrealistic and irrelevant idea can trickle down to something useful for your interest? Every idea is important and can be useful.

The fundamental task of brainstorming is to come up with new ideas, analyze the idea and try to further develop the idea to suit what you are aiming for.

But how do you come up with an idea?

The best ways of finding new ideas is to look at present solutions and question them. In what way can a present solution be improved upon? Do not say that it can not be improved, remove any blocks you have in your head and approach a present solution with a fresh mind.

Sometimes an idea will pop up from nowhere. Make it a standard procedure to always carry a paper and a pen with you so you will never lose an idea you get.
